In week 02 in DCC180 at BYU Pathway Worldwide, we were asked to highlight an ancestor of ours. We were asked to denote the country where the stamp is from and add a price. In Canada, we have a postal icon, which does not denote the price, but rather the fact, that once a stamp has been purchased it will be worth the current price of postage, as opposed to the price it was purchased. I took a screenshot of the actual icon, and remastered it using Canva, to ensure a higher quality image. I did this by using an image of the maple leaf, converted it to Canadian red, and added the helvetica font for the letter P, contained in the icon. I morphed the font, to ensure it was placed correctly within the maple leaf image, and extended the tail, to cover the length of the stem of the leaf. The color of the font was duplicated from the background used in the postage stamp for visual appreciation.
I chose my cousin, who passed away all to early this past year. Gloria, was full of grace, dignity, compassion, love and laughter. Her beloved cat JAX, made her life full of joy and amusement. This photo captures her essence and the joy she had in life.
